Centurion Property Group has completed the acquisition of The ARBA, a Class A, purpose-built student housing community serving students at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas.
The ARBA is a 748-bed community comprised of 240 units across multiple residential buildings. Originally developed in 2014, the property features a mix of two-, three-, and four-bedroom floor plans designed to meet the needs of today’s student renters. Community amenities include a resort-style pool, modern fitness center, clubhouse and dedicated study spaces, pickleball courts, and a sand volleyball court.
The transaction was brokered by JLL, and financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Following the acquisition, Centurion will implement a focused operational and capital strategy aimed at enhancing the resident experience, improving operational efficiencies, and driving long-term value. The ARBA will be managed by Centurion’s in-house management platform, Centuride, allowing for direct execution of the business plan and hands-on operational oversight.
“The ARBA aligns perfectly with our investment strategy—high-quality assets in growing university markets with strong fundamentals and clear opportunities for operational upside,” said Juan José Platas of Centurion Property Group. “We’re excited to add this property to our portfolio and continue expanding our presence in top-tier student housing markets.”
This acquisition further strengthens Centurion’s national student housing portfolio and underscores the firm’s commitment to disciplined growth and long-term value creation in leading university markets.
