Centurion Property Group has completed the acquisition of two purpose-built student housing communities near the University of Missouri in Columbia, expanding the firm’s presence in one of the Midwest’s largest university markets.
The portfolio includes Grayson Cottages, a 513-bed cottage-style community, and Grindstone Canyon, a 384-bed student housing property, bringing the combined total to 897 beds serving the University of Missouri student population.
Originally developed in 2007, Grayson Cottages offers a mix of two-, three-, and four-bedroom cottage-style units designed specifically for student living. The community features amenities including a swimming pool, study center, fitness facility, and sand volleyball court.
Grindstone Canyon, developed in 2003, consists of fully furnished one-, two-, and three-bedroom units with amenities such as a swimming pool, study lounge, and fitness center.
Both communities are located within close proximity to the University of Missouri, the state’s flagship public university, which enrolls more than 30,000 students and maintains strong demand for off-campus housing options.
The transactions were brokered by CBRE, and financial terms of the acquisitions were not disclosed.
“We continue to focus on acquiring high-quality student housing communities in major university markets with strong fundamentals,” said Aldo Facchi of Centurion Property Group. “Columbia represents a compelling market supported by a large flagship university and consistent demand for off-campus housing. We look forward to working with the on-site teams to continue enhancing the resident experience.”
The acquisitions further expand Centurion’s growing student housing portfolio across leading university markets in the United States.
