Centurion Property Group has completed the acquisition of The Rocks, a purpose-built student housing community serving students at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan.
The Rocks is a 376-bed community comprised of 119 units across multiple residential buildings. Originally constructed in 2015, the property offers spacious one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom floor plans designed to accommodate a variety of student living preferences. Each unit features modern finishes including granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, private bedrooms and bathrooms, and private balconies. The community also offers amenities such as a fitness center, study areas, covered parking, and outdoor gathering spaces.
Located approximately three miles from Michigan State University, the property benefits from convenient access to campus through a university shuttle route and proximity to major retail, dining, and entertainment destinations throughout East Lansing.
Michigan State University is one of the largest universities in the United States, with more than 50,000 students enrolled, supporting strong and consistent demand for off-campus housing options in the surrounding market.
The transaction was arranged by Berkadia, which also facilitated acquisition financing. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
“The Rocks is a well-located community in a major Power Five university market with strong enrollment and consistent housing demand,” said Aldo Facchi of Centurion Property Group. “We look forward to working closely with the on-site management team to continue delivering a quality housing experience for residents while executing our operational strategy.”
